The Best Brews for The Flavor of Spring

Spring is finally upon us, and if you’re feeling anything like us, then you are eager to soak up every bit of what the season has to offer.  That includes, of course, enjoying the flavors of fresh fruit.  You can find them in the grocery store and maybe even the farmer’s market, or you can have a bit more fun with some of these seasonal favorites:

If you’re a fan of Session IPAs, and you really want to experience the season, then you simply cannot beat the recently released A Day in the Life from Ever Grain Brewing Co. Just 4.8% ABV, this is a light and tasty beer that can be enjoyed throughout a pleasant spring evening (and don’t worry about the calories; Ever Grain also offers yoga classes every Sunday to help you maintain your best form). A Day in the Life is happy and hoppy in all the right ways.

While we’re talking about Ever Grain, we must mention their partnership with Lost Tavern Brewing, which operates in both Hellertown– and Bethlehem, PA.  Together they assembled what might just be the perfect sip for spring—the Gelosto: Cherry Berry. The brilliant, red brew combines the beautiful flavors of milk sugar, sweet & tart cherry, boysenberry, and vanilla.  Fire up the grill and crack open a can; you won’t be disappointed!

Nothing says spring like the slightly-tart-slightly-sweet flavor of a strawberry.  You can get your fill from Sell(tz) Out! by Two Week’s Notice Brewing Company.  Ok, it’s not really a beer, but it is certainly a brew worthy of a springtime sip!  It also packs a punch at 8% ABV.  This is a seltzer that even the manliest of men can’t deny, especially as the weather warms. Sell(tz) Out! is available on tap or in 4-packs from Two Week’s Notice Brewing Company, which is located in the heart of West Springfield, MA.  Owner, Meagan Clarke, and her team are making the most of their space, adding a new, larger system capable of brewing even more winning flavors.  From IPAs and pilsners to stouts and Irish ales, they’ve got a little something for everyone.  Just don’t forget to take a sip of spring!

Last but certainly not least, it wouldn’t be spring without Sunshine Therapy.  Inspired by the California shores, with hints of pineapple, grapefruit, and mango, the only thing that has better hops than Sunshine Therapy is the Easter Bunny.   Need a sip of sunshine? Fortunately, you can get just that, and you can sip it straight from a glass at Midnight Mulligan Brewing right here, in Charlotte.  In fact, we might just join you!
