When we first started NoFo Brewery, we knew the world didn’t need just another brewery. We wanted to create a place where people could gather, enjoy amazing hospitality, and savor incredible craft beer and spirits. You don’t have to be an expert in beer to know what bad beer tastes like, and we are very conscious of maintaining the highest quality. Keeping product consistency is a challenge. We have to control our fermentation temperatures to ensure everything stays steady and consistent throughout each batch.
We first met Deutsche Beverage in late 2018 and were really impressed with the quality of their equipment and the level of service they provided. They didn’t just talk about delivering great service; they actually delivered on it. Having Deutsche Beverage on our team and being able to custom-build our equipment needs has been a godsend for us in Gainesville.
We’ve been with Siemens since our inception, which has been about 15 years now. Our partnership with them has always been excellent in terms of customer support and hardware warranty. It’s very easy to work with their panel shop and our customers, which is the most important part. The technology and the drive for perfectionism from Siemens help us strive to do better continually.
We get a lot of data from these products that help our customers and their livelihoods. The key part of this whole operation is Siemens’ software, called TIA Portal, which stands for Totally Integrated Automation. This unique marketplace offering allows us to configure all our components with one programming package. It has built-in diagnostics, making it very intuitive and easy for someone with minimal skills to analyze and correct issues quickly.
They have a SIMATIC app on an iPad that mirrors the HMI on the brew deck or mash house deck. On days when someone can’t come in, they can still manage and monitor their fermentation remotely. The flexibility provided by Siemens technology makes everything easier and more controllable. With Deutsche Beverage, there’s also a backlog of all our fermentation data.
Using Deutsche products powered by Siemens technology ensures we get a consistent product that’s well-supported. If something breaks, we have someone to call, which is crucial. Being offline means we can’t do what we do best—make beer and spirits. The support we’ve received has been incredibly beneficial.
Beer and spirits are social beverages. People gather around our products in both good and bad times, celebrating with friends and family. We get to share our passion for great products and hospitality with the communities we serve.
